Jonah Bank of Wyoming - Westside Branch Remodel The original bank headquarters—completed as a separate project nearly two decades earlier - had outgrown its capacity and required additional space. A vacant, adjacent tenant suite presented a unique opportunity to create a contiguous floor plan that would expand functionality while maintaining a cohesive architectural identity. The expansion introduced much-needed office space and significantly enlarged the lobby to include additional waiting areas and a customer lounge. These two zones are subtly delineated by an inviting two-sided fireplace, which acts as both a spatial divider and a visual centerpiece. The fireplace wall also serves as a display for the bank's charter "code," reinforcing the institution's identity and values within the heart of the space. Material finishes were carefully selected and detailed to achieve a seamless transition between the original and newly expanded areas - despite a nearly twenty-year gap between phases. The result is a unified environment that appears as though it was conceived and executed as a single project to the unsuspecting eye. The updated floor plan extends the original spatial logic: an open customer lobby flanked by perimeter offices with glass-facing views toward the central space. This arrangement maintains visibility, transparency, and serves as a subtle deterrent to potential security threats, reinforcing the space's openness while supporting its safety.
